Holiday Open House to benefit Borromeo Housing, Inc.

I have been making TONS of jewelry to sell at the Holiday Open House on behalf of
Borromeo Housing, Inc. (BHI) tomorrow.  This will be my first attempt at selling my wares at a show of this type and I am nervous and excited!

I will be taking pics at the Open House and will post them later.  I have not had a single moment to take pics of any of my completed work, accept for the one below.  This necklace is made with lots of sterling silver and is highlighted by the stunning focal bead handmade by the extremely talented Libby Leuchtman (you can follow her blog here http://libbyleu.blogspot.com/).  I will be raffling off this necklace with all proceeds benefitting BHI.

If anyone is in Arlington, VA tomorrow, please stop by!

A new beginning?

November 7th, 2011

Welcome!

This is my first blog post....I have been putting this off for the longest time.  Procrastination could be my first name....

I have been so inspired by all of the lovely jewelry designers out in Blog Land that I am finally getting up the courage to join them.

I have been handcrafting jewelry for the past two years - totally self-taught.  My first and foremost inspiration is my Mom.    I was blessed to have her move in with me during the fall of 2010, after living in Florida for the past 25 or so years.  She is by far the most creative woman I know! She introduced me to jewelry design years ago.  It has become my obsession!

I hope to update this online journal of mine with pics of my work as I struggle through the technological process of taking the pictures, uploading the pictures to my computer, editing the pictures....you get my drift!  One step at a time!

Thanks for joining me and I hope to see you soon!
