Focus on Life Week 12 - Observe the Curve

This week's prompt from Sally Russick is to "Observe the Curves" in your life. So, I practiced my soldering and came up with a couple of curves...

Even the lampwork cabochon made by Kerry Bogert had curves!
Very cosmic...don't you think?
 
My niece, Sarah, actually asked me to make her a ring - a thick ring.  Man-I had no idea how thick 20 gauge silver sheet was until I tried to really curve it!
The tiny amethyst (5mm) ring was an afterthought.  But...I love that little ring!

    I know...it is hard to curve that 20 gauge!! Annealing becomes really important to keep that metal soft! Beautiful work, Patti..I'd say you are getting the hang of soldering!!!

    Patti, that is just gorgeous work. I cannot imagine soldering silver and getting it to fit around those lovely cabs. Those rings are stunning as well.

    Ooh! Pretty! I love the soldered bezel you made. That little lacy scalloped edge is filled with curves. I have a client asking for a ring, but I have never done that so I am a bit hesitant. You make it look easy! Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the day. Erin
